DAY 12

DAY 12 — In times of Chaos, we must recognize the nearness of the Lord. Pray that we would not remain silent, and that we would make known all of our thoughts swirling in our minds.

PHILIPPIANS 4:4-7

“Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

WEEK 3 - PEACE OVER CHAOS

We are getting closer to all the things we have been preparing so long for. It would be easy at this point to grow anxious, worried, or even chaotic. We may have feelings of being unprepared or fear of the unknown. However, it is at this time that we would grow even more confident in the Lord. Despite all the things that need to be done, pray that our lives would be defined by the peace of God. As people that are not a part of this family draw near, we want them to recognize this peace that emanates from us. What is it that you are holding onto that is preventing you from resting in God? Pray that God would take away these things and pull you near to him. Seek peace for the whole body, that the community would be a place of rest and comfort and not chaos.

PRAYER TIPS

  1. Pray the Scripture

    • First, Read the Scripture aloud and pray the exact words back to God. Second, go back through it verse by verse, and in your own words pray to God based on the words in Scripture. Third, take notes of what God revealed to you in that time.

  2. Value Silence

    • Sometimes we may run out of words to say, or maybe you are someone that cannot stop talking to God. In either case, we need to grow comfortable with sitting and growing quiet to hear from the Lord. Remember to rest in God’s presence so that you can hear Him when he speaks to you.

  3. Take Notes

    • In your time of prayer, write down what is you are praying for so that you can look back to see what God did. Also, write down what God is revealing to you. We like to think we will remember everything, but humans are pretty forgetful beings.
